My name is Raphael Temple and I’m a 22-year-young Prescott native! My parents, Greg and Wendy, have lived at Lynx Creek Farm for over 30 years. This small, family farm is where they got married, ran a bed and breakfast and had four children. Growing up in Prescott, I appreciated our endless outdoor adventures and holiday traditions- like trick or treating on Mt Vernon St or strolling around the Courthouse for the Christmas Lighting. It’s events like those and spending time with friends and visitors that gives you Prescott’s “Everybody’s Hometown” feeling. I knew that no matter what, I would eventually end up back here. I graduated from Prescott High School and pursued college volleyball at the University of Arizona and began studying business management. After medically retiring from volleyball, I continued my education at Scottsdale Community College and Arizona State University. Throughout college and transitioning into becoming an adult, it became clear how I wanted to spend the rest of my life. My parents renovated our property into a venue for my brother’s wedding in 2017. It turned out better than we had hoped, and we have been hosting weddings and events ever since. Joining and continuing the family business is a dream of mine. I have always had a passion for helping others as well as planning and organizing events. In high school, I held leadership positions in Student Council, NHS, JROTC, as well as sports teams. This gave me a lot of experience in organizing, planning and executing events for 100’s of people. Looking back on these memories is really what inspired me to realize that wedding and event planning is something that excites me, motivates me, and is shaping my career. I am a people person, and will go out of my way to make sure your special day or event turns out better than your wildest dreams. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s schedule a tour and get to know each other!
Lynx Creek Farm
Lynx Creek Farm started out as a quaint bed and breakfast located on a ridge overlooking Lynx Creek in the early 90’s. While serving breakfast and hors d’oeuvres to the guests staying in the cabins, my parents, Greg and Wendy, attended an apple orchard, a variety of farm animals as well as raising their 4 kids. Fast forward twenty years, the B&B cabins transitioned into vacation rental properties while my parents expanded the business to manage outside owned rentals in the Prescott area to begin Prescott Cabin Rentals. In 2018, my older brother decided he wanted to get married on the farm he grew up on, which began the total makeover. It turned out better than we can imagine, and now we want to share it with you.
